I’ve been contemplating starting a blog for a little while and finally decided to just go for it.
I’ve never been one to keep journals or diaries, but I know that it could be nice to have a place to put down my thoughts.
And who knows, maybe there will be people that can relate or give advice on whatever I happen to write about.
Also, even though it’s just sort of a hobby for now, maybe one day I’ll be able to make it into a sort of business from home, and I could work while taking care of my son.
This past weekend hubby and I went down south to Irvine and checked out a bit of Orange County. It was lovely!
On Friday hubs took care of some work related business, and I got to indulge in a few of their shopping centers. Irvine has a ton of shopping options!
The evening was spent relaxing in our hotel room.
On Saturday we took a short drive down to laguna beach and had a yummy brunch at Anastasia cafe, followed by a walk through the adorable seaside city.
We enjoyed some time on the beach, a bit more shopping, and then a scenic drive down Highway 1.
We refreshed at our hotel, went out to dinner at Outback, and then checked out the Irvine Spectrum Center.
It was so festive in time for the holidays!
On Sunday, we wanted to head back to Sacramento, but first we decided to attend a small local church in Irvine. It was a great service, and we met some of the nicest people!
I gotta say, I kinda sorta fell in love with OC, which I’m so happy about, because we are actually moving there next month!
Hubby is getting transferred to Irvine for work, and I was skeptical at first, because hello, it’s a huge move for us! But now I’m just at peace, and also excited, looking forward to whatever the future has in store for our family.
Of course, it will take time to adjust, in the beginning it’ll be just us, and I’ll miss our family and friends.
But Sacramento isn’t all that far, so we’ll be able to visit often, and have visitors often as well.
I do believe that this is the right step for us, and I’m hoping our move will go smoothly! Wish us luck!
P.S. Any moving hacks or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Here are some photos from our trip.
