Motherhood is probably the best gig in the world, at least in my humble opinion. Of course, being a mom, or being a parent in general, comes with many challenges. There are sleepless nights, teething babes, toddler tantrums, and then they grow up into moody teenagers who grow up into independent adults that leave the nest. Parenthood is an emotional roller coaster. But there are so many amazing magical moments that just melt your heart and make you forget the headaches and tears. The smiles, giggles, hugs, and sweet I-love-you’s are worth it all.
Now, of course, I think that moms should be recognized every day of the year (my own mama is basically my hero, and she deserves to be reminded how amazing she is all the time), but I know life sometimes gets in the way, and there are so many things moms do that go unrecognized. But there is one day a year that we dedicate completely to mothers, and on this day, they should feel ALL the love.
So I’ve come up with some gift ideas for the mamas in your life.

First and foremost, the best gift a mom can receive is spending time with her family and children. Plan a day date, go out to dinner, or just go for a stroll through the park.
Another “gift” that’s very much appreciated is help. Give mom the day off while you clean, cook, or at least do some dishes. These may seem insignificant, but moms are sure to love a helping hand.
One of my favorite Mother’s Day gifts to date was the spa/massage package my sweet hubby got for me. It’s something that you don’t usually splurge on for yourself, so it’s really a treat to receive as a gift. It could be a massage, a mani/pedi, or a hair appointment, but whatever it is, a pampered mom is a happy mom.
For a mom with small kiddos, a dad or older siblings can help make a “DIY” craft, like a card, with the little ones. Those are the gifts that become priceless mementos.
If you really want to wow her, a weekend getaway or a fun trip just can’t disappoint. There is no such thing as “too many vacations”, and it’s another opportunity to create lots of awesome memories.
If none of those ideas tickle your fancy, here are a few gifts you can buy that would make just about any woman happy, because we can never have enough. 😉
